Ried Burgstall is one of the easternmost vineyards in Loibn. It is the name of a rocky terrace that rises about 30 metres. The name comes from a small medieval fortification that was built for defence. The site extends over a pure gneiss and granite soil with a sandy layer and is known for its many hours of sunshine.
